Senate Minority leader, Godswill Akpabio, has said that Nigeria has one of the worst foreign missions in the world.
In his contribution to debates on the condition of the nation’s foreign mission, he pointed out that the under-funding of Nigeria’s embassies abroad has constituted a huge embarrassment.

“Mr. President, distinguished colleagues, I could recall that when I was governor of Akwa Ibom state, I was hosted by some foreign missions and I discovered that even salaries are owed them.
“In some places, Nigeria government could not pay it’s rents and they have to pack out and stayed in boys quarters. Children of some embassy staff have to be withdrawn from schools”, he said.
He added that they have taken corruption abroad by torturing those investors looking for international passports as a means of sustaining themselves.
