Drama as Senate finally screens Amaechi

The Senate today screened former governor of Rivers State and ministerial nominee from Rotimi Amaechi. At the session the Minority Leader Senator Godswill Akpabio said the PDP Causus will not ask Amaechi questions. And then a debate ensued between PDP and APC senators. Eventually, some senators asked questions and Amaechi was asked to go.
Senate had postponed Amaechi's screening several times due to a petition submitted to the upper chamber by Senator George Sekibo of Rivers East, alleging that the former governor stole N70 billion of state funds while he was Rivers governor.
