NIGERIANS VISIONARY LEADERS
When people talks about visionally leadership and siting Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, as an example, i usually get stunned at it. the question you need to ask yourself is this, was Tafawa Balawe, the man who before the independent had quoted on some of these in favour of his people (North) rather than seeing everybody as one read below:
"we do not want our southern neighbors to interfere in our development. We have never associated ourselves with the activities of these people. we do not know them, we do not recognize them, and we share no responsibility in their actions. we shall demand our rights when the time is ripe. if the British quit Nigeria now at this stage, the northern people would continue their uninterrupted conquest to the sea.
of course this statement was captured in January 1947 on the floor of the Northern House of Assembly. Was he the type/example of that visionally learder they mean? Unless, if they regard him as the Northern Visionally Leader, that is in the North, then it will now agree with them. But visional leader for the entire country 'NO'.
If you talking/thinking about people with the visional leaders, then it will not be complete is the name of Nnmadi Azikiwe Zik of Africa, is not mentioned people like Obafemi Awolowo, Odamegwu Ojukwu etc. they are the people who had waited equity for all rather than being too tribalistic. Since before and after the independent North has been the problem that Nigerian is having today. They having politics with power (they are born to rule)  no other tribe should smell the seat/power or all of them will perish.
This sentiment what was General Buhari has been carried out ever since he aspiring to become the president of Nigeria. Sentiment forced him to stay away from council of elders meeting for 16years of PDP rules. Read one of his statement after the 2011 General Election.
"I will make this government ungovernable". This was after he contested  and lost in that very election to Goodluck Jonathan.
