Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo in company of Colombian security experts paid a visit to President Muhammad Buhari of Nigeria to discuss strategies to tackle the ISIS affiliated BokoHaram. Obasanjo claimed he was part of a team that visited Colombia to understudy the effort of the Colombian government in the fight against the country's largest rebel group, FARC which has been in existence since 1964 and still causing mayhem till date. He also recommended a book written about their findings to Buhari.
Olusegun Obasanjo in his usual verbosity could not help himself during his conversation included "Biafra"-the name that is continuing trending in Nigeria. He said: "We will do to BokoHaram what we did to Biafra war". Obasanjo who participated in the Biafra genocide and also understudied Colombians fight against insurgency should be asked: Is starvation used as a weapon to fight against FARC or BokoHaram? Is Britain, Russia and Egypt on ground to assist in the destruction of FARC or BokoHaram? Is the government killing unarmed children and women in Colombia or North-East of Nigeria? Obasanjo in his senility should be reminded that the Biafra war and BokoHaram terror acts do not portray any similarity and should not be associated. It is a shame that he gave the directives for the massacre of innocent people in Odi, Bayelsa State but could not bring his civil war military expertise to fore in combating Boko Haram terrorist.

Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo is gallivanting in the corridors of power because he is in an uncivilized and lawless country called Nigeria. In a sane society, he will be answering to the request sent to the Code of Conduct Bureau by a civil group since 2013 for the probe of his fraudulent acquisition of wealth while in power. Muhammad Buhari and Olusegun Obasanjo can hoodwink the unenlightened masses by inviting every foreign security experts to combat BokoHaram but should be aware the Nigeria Army has made it clear they cannot beat the deadline to defeat BokoHaram by its twitter message of 10/11/2015 wherein they are appealing to Nigerians to persuade BokoHaram to desist and renounce their membership forthwith. Such a shame!
