'Why Buhari Did Not Include Many Women In His Cabinet'
Rate this item
The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Political
Matters, Mr. Gideon Samani, has said that the president did not include
many women in his cabinet because he is “very shy dealing with the
opposite sex.” Samani who stated this at the fifth annual lecture series
organised by the "Change We Need in Nigeria” group, was defending the
low female appointments the President had made so far, since he took
over power on May 29.
According to him, the president was used to interacting mainly with men. Samani, however, quickly added that the issue of gender inequality would be addressed by the president.
