AUDU’S DEATH: List of 5 Likely Outcomes That Will Occur In Kogi
Following the death of All Progressives Congress, APC Governorship candidate in Kogi, Mr Abubakar Audu prior to the declaration of a winner in the election, INEC and its lawyers will be looking at a number of possible outcomes that may arise.
Outcome one: Audu’s running mate, James Abiodun Faleke, insists on being declared the winner of the election.
Outcome two: Faleke, backed by the APC, insists on concluding the election with him as the governorship candidate of the party and being allowed to choose a running mate/deputy governorship candidate.
Outcome three: Faleke, backed by the APC, contests as the candidate of the APC in a fresh election as the governorship candidate with a running mate.
Outcome four: Outright cancellation of the Kogi governorship election by INEC and APC nominates fresh candidates to contest in the new poll.
Outcome five: Governor Idris Wada of the PDP insists on being declared the duly elected governor on the grounds that he cannot be blamed for the death of Audu and he is the next substantive governorship candidate left in the race, as opposed to Faleke who is a running mate.
