FG owes Anambra N27bn-Obiano

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has appealed to the Federal Government to refund the N27 billion his administration has so far expended in fixing Federal roads in the state.
Fielding questions from newsmen at Nkpor Junction of Enugu/Onitsha Expressway, Chief Obiano, said so far, his government had spent N27 billion in the maintenance of dilapidated federal roads.

While revealing that the approval had already been given for the refund of N25 billion, he stressed that additional N2.1 billion had been spent since the last approval.
The governor said his government needed the money to be able to invest more on roads repair and other needs.
