One Shot Dead as Serious Tension Erupts in Kaduna During Shiite Muslim Protests (Photos)
According to reports making rounds online, thousands of Nigerian Shiite Muslim today staged protest in different countries including the largest march in Kano, Kaduna, Kebbi and Bauchi to protest against the arrest of their leader, EL-Zakzaky and the death of their members during the 2-day violent clash with the Nigerian Army.
It was also reported that there were sounds of heavy gunfire at Tudun
Wada in Kaduna state. The shooting is related to the ongoing siege on
the Islamic Movement in the state and military action against the
faithfuls.
According to SaharaReporters, a Shiite member is reportedly shot dead at the North Gate of Ahmadu Bello University by three policemen as he wrestled a gun from the police.
Popular Kaduna market, Kasuwa has been shot down by authorities following unconfirmed reports that non-indegenes of the state have been asked to leave the state. Some locals also confirmed this development.
