Gesilah Khan Moved To Cross Rivers,As EX-Rivers INEC REC is returned back to the State
The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) has redeployed the Resident Electoral Commision incharge of Rivers State Mrs Gesilah Khan to Cross Rivers State.
Gesilah Khan who conducted the April 11th governorship election in Rivers State had come under verbal and Media attacks from the public over the outcome of the Governorship election in Rivers State which saw Governor Nyesom Wike coming out victorious.
According to the new INEC resident Electoral
Commissioner Mr Aniedi Abasi Ikoiwak had served as the Resident
electoral Commissioner in Rivers State before he was transferred to
Delta State in the build up to the 2015 general election where he took
over from Dame Gesilah Khan who was in charge of Delta state at that
time.
The new INEC Boss in Rivers State is expected to conduct the fresh poll declared by the Court of Appeal for National and State Houses of Assembly elections
