THE CONTINUE DETENTION OF NNAMDI KANU, IN DSS CUSTODY. MATTERS ARISING

The Director of the Radio Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu was arrested and has been detained by the Department of the Security Services (DSS) since October 14, 2015, when he was first arrested.

The refusal of DSS to release Nnamdi Kanu after the court had granted him bail in November 2015 is something one would ask or wonder if we are really in democracy or autocracy/detector ship under this regime, Mohammadu Buhari’s All Progressive Congress (APC) led government.

 

On December 17, 2015, Justice Ahmed Mohammed was ordered DSS/Federal government to release Mr. Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally from the DSS custody after the appeal court had ruled that the poor boy is innocent of all allegations leveled against him. This last judgement made it the second time the court will grant Kanu bail or discharge him from all charges.

But, DSS has refused to obey the court order rather; they were shopping for the offence to levy against Kanu which they unsure if he has committed against the country. Later, they file another fresh charge (6 count charge) including treason.
