Buhari’s Daughter Is Married To New PDP Chair, Ali-modu Sheriff’s Son

Former Aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari, and the acting national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Senator Ali Modu Sheriff are in-laws.
Fani-kayode, a chieftain of the PDP stated this in a tweet in which he roundly condemned the emergence of the former Borno State governor as PDP’s acting chairman. buhari and ali-modu 2

“Modu-Sheriff is also the erstwhile godfather and sponsor of Governor Shettima Ali, the present APC Governor of Borno State (until they fell out), he is a man that has a very deep and profound relationship and association with Idris Deby, the President of Chad and he is a man whose son is married to the daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari,” Fani-Kayode twitted.

But contrary to Fani-Kayode’s claim that President Buhari’s daughter is married to Sheriff’s son(both pictured), divergent view has it that Alhaji Babagana Muhammed Sheriff, who is married to Halima Buhari(Buhari’s daughter) is the acting PDP’s chairman’s nephew, and not his son.
It would be recalled that the couple’s wedding fathia took place in 2012.
