"Collateral Damage!" Nigeria military confirms killing over 10 unarmed Biafran nationalists in Aba
Thursday, 18 February 2016
Abia State governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu recently met with the the new
commander 14 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Lawrence
Fejiokwu at the Executive Chambers of the Abia State Government House
over the incessant killings of unarmed Biafran nationalist by the
Nigeria Army.
Recall that few days ago, unarmed IPOB members protesting for the
release of its Leader Mr Nnamdi Kanu were sent to early grave by bullets
fired at them by men of the Nigeria Army who were drafted to manage the
situation.
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu apparently disturbed by the negative nature of
the killings today met with the Army authorities in a bid to find a
lasting solution to ugly development which has made Abia to appear in
the Media.
Eastern Radio gathered from a reliable source that the meeting ended in a
very unpleasant mode as the Army commander 14 Brigade Military
confirmed that over 10 protesters in Aba were shot dead but says "this
are collateral damages"
The mood of the governor during the meeting showed he was not happy on how the Military in Abia is handling the IPOB situation
