Tuesday, 23 February 2016

It was the end of the road for a fraudulent Police Inspector, Felix Igba, who was in the habit of issuing forged promotion signals to some of his colleagues after collecting the sum of N30, 000 from each of them, as h has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command.

While sending out the fake signals, Igba told his colleagues they were from the Force Welfare Department and signed by an Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP, Omolara Oloruntola, with the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCIID.

Oloruntola who got information about the wide circulation of the forged promotion signals, had lodged a complaint on October 28 2015, which led to investigations to unravel the culprits behind the scam.

The investigations led to Igba, a Supernumerary (SPU) Police Inspector, who was said to have collected N30, 000 per SPY policeman for the signal promoting each officer.

After his arrest and upon interrogation, Igba allegedly confessed that the money he collected from the officers, was remitted to one Supol Africa, allegedly serving at the Force Headquarters Annex, though he could not give details as to the whereabouts of the said Supol Africa.
