Nigerian Helicopter Crashed In Benin

Sahara Reporters informs that the chopper flown by a Nigerian pilot,
Captain Makinde was on a routine flight to the country from Lagos.
It was reportedly individually operated under Aero contractors license.
An insider at Accident Investigation Bureau in Nigeria noted that the
agency is still pending further information about the incident.
According to source, initial information available to the bureau showed that the helicopter crashed around 4:25 PM local time when the rear of the chopper clipped an electric pole as it was landing.
Two crew members are alive and healthy. When contacted, a source at the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority confirmed the accident and said that the helicopter’s tail rotor clicked on an object and the pilot lost control of it. Recently a Bristow Helicopter craft crashed into the Atlantic sea in February near Lagos.
All two crew members and nine passengers were rescued alive after the helicopter left from an offshore oil platform.
