Deadly Love - Pregnant teenager stabs Kenyan footballer to death for posting another woman's photo on Facebook

Saturday 19 March 2016

A Kenyan university student and a footballer with Wazito FC, Kelvin Ikatwa, has been stabbed to death by his 19-year-old pregnant girlfriend after he posted the photograph of another woman on his Facebook wall, Nairobi News reports.

The 25-year-old Ikatwa, who was popularly known as Razor, according to the report, had a row with the teenager when he posted the offending photo on his wall and in the heat of the quarrel, the girl used a knife to stab him on the neck, in her house in Kangemi, a suburb of Nairobi, the country's capital.

Ikatwa was said to be a third-year University of Nairobi student.

Nairobi Police chief, Japheth Koome, said the couple’s landlord called officers, informing them of the fight and that Kelvin was lying in a pool of blood at the doorstep.

“When the officers arrived at the scene, the man was already dead and the woman was sitting next to the body. He had been stabbed in the neck. The knife was found at the scene,” Koome said.

A friend of the late football star who was a former youth international, said Ikatwa did not let anyone know he had a woman he had impregnated.

“We had no idea a woman existed and that she was pregnant. What we know is that the picture Kelvin posted belongs to one of his friends. He was not dating her.

We chatted at 2pm. He said we would meet the next day as he was going to see his girlfriend. Then he went offline.”

The landlord said Ikatwa was stabbed while in the house and as he got out, probably with the intention of seeking help, fell at the doorstep and died.
