Ekiti lawmaker released by DSS and admitted at a hospital in Abuja

Mr Afolabi Akanni who has been in detention at the Department of State Services was on Tuesday evening released and admitted at a private hospital in Abuja. The Lawmaker who was very weak and could barely speak when Vanguard visited him at the hospital kept repeating that "I am not well. I am sick. I am sick". He said he was treated for malaria at the DSS detention facility after he collapsed two times. He added his release may not be unconnected with his deteriorating health situation.
