Thuesday March 3, 2016
Chief sir Victor Umeh, the APGA candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial re-run election, during his campaign as he taraveled round the seven Local government areas that made up the Senatorial Zone in Awka South Local Government area says there is no cause for alarm over the recent order for inclusion of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the race by an Abuja Federal High Court.
While addressing party supporters that trooped out enmass to welcome him at the various villages and wards visited, Chief Umeh described the latest federal high court judgment as highly unfortunate and strange and charged the party loyalists to remain peaceful and faithful to God as APGA will still emerge victorious at the end of the day.
Chief Umeh regretted that some disgruntled politicians in the state were bent on destroying the good work of the APGA led government in Anambra State.
The APGA candidate told the electorate and Ndi Anambra that APGA remains the only Igbo party with clearly defined ideologies and structures and appealed to them to be ready to vote for the party any time INEC fixes the re-run election.
The member representing Awka South One Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Honourable Nnamdi Okafor, said Chief Umeh has done a lot for the party and enjoined his people to vote for him because he must surely deliver.
The President- General, Amawbia Town Union, Pharmacist Anene Mmaduka, described the APGA candidate as a worthy Igbo son who is ready to sacrifice everything he has for the liberation and emancipation of Ndigbo and assured that Anawbia community will vote massively for him on the election day.
