Buhari fails in bid to poison Kanu in prison

Report reaching Biafra Choice Writers have revealed
that Nigerian Directorate State Security (DSS) made a failed attempt to poison
Nnamdi Kanu, Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) late Tuesday,
April 12, 2016.
The
poisoning attempt made at Kanu’s Kuje Prison cell took place after the
DSS men stormed the cell in an attempt to break the spirit of the Biafra
leader. For Biafran leadership, the attempt to poison their leader
showed the desperation of Muhammadu Buhari, Nigerian President to have
Nnamdi Kanu killed before his Nigeria Court of Appeal appearance coming
up at Abuja on April 25.
The DSS had earlier invaded Kanu’s cell hours
earlier, searching for what they told nobody, but without achieving any
tangible result. It was after failing to discover anything implicating that they
took the poisoning option; and ever since, they have been keeping vigil at the
prison try to devise other means to kill the Biafran leader.
Buhari’s desperation to have Kanu killed before April 25 is not unconnected with the information he received that his government did not have any evidence before the country’s Appeal Court, to dissuade the judges from granting him (Kanu) bail.
