Biafra Youth League Backs Niger Delta Avengers

Delta – The Deputy President of the Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL), Ebuta Victor Takon, has come out in support of the Niger Delta Avengers, the rampaging new militant group in the oil-rich region.

Takon, thus called for dialogue between the Government and the militant group in order to end bombing of pipelines.
Takon stated as follows.

The state is among the worst affected by the ongoing communal clashes that have claimed over 1 000 this year.

Takon extended condolences to the families of those killed by the herdsmen.

“It is quite unfortunate that the attack was planned in the neighbouring middle belt and shocking to know that some people from middle belt were part of it. We will not tolerate any further attacks on our people. It is an assurance.”

“The Nigeria government should give peace a chance and adhere to the demands of the militants. We are in support of the demands because we don’t want the continuous destruction of our pipelines. It belongs to us,” said Takon.
The emergent Niger Delta Avengers has embarked on a violent crusade against the alleged inequitable distribution of oil wealth.
