IPOB DISOWNS ELDERS’ FORUM

The Indigenous Peo­ple of Biafra (IPOB) has disowned a group which parades it­self as the Elders’ Forum of IPOB. It described the members of the group as impostors.

The AUTHORITY re­calls that the said forum had recently disassociated IPOB from the Niger Del­ta Avengers, saying that the militants had no alli­ance with IPOB.

In a swift reaction, IPOB in a press statement on Thursday issued by its Media and Publicity Of­ficer, Mr Emma Power­ful, said the alleged Elders’ Forum is non-existent and lacks the mandate to speak for the pro-Biafra move­ment.

The statement reads in part: “ In IPOB worldwide under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the Deputy Leader, Mazi Uche Mefo, have no elders forum and any individual or group who claim to be the factional leader or dep­uty leader of IPOB is fake.
