Bodies of African migrants wash ashore in Tripoli, Libya after their boats sank in the occean



The bodies of African migrants who drowned trying to cross the Mediterranean were found washed up on a beach in Maya town, some 28 km west of Tripoli, Libya.

Last week, the Mayor of Sabratah, Hasan Al-Thuwadi said that more than 120 bodies surface on a daily basis on the city's beaches. He added that 53 bodies were found last week.
Sabratha is one of the main jumping off points for migrants who aim at crossing the Mediterranean to Europe in search of greener pasture.
