'Human Torch' Enters Guinness World Records for the 3rd time after being dragged while on fire

A stunt man dubbed the "Human Torch" has entered the record books after being dragged 500 metres by a horse and a quad bike while on fire.

Austrian Josef Tödtling also entered the Guinness World Records 2017 edition for doing a 582-metre trip tied to the back of the quad bike.

The records come after Josef achieved the record for the "Longest duration full-body burn (without oxygen)" in 2013 by spending 5 minutes and 41 seconds on fire in a full-body burn at Salzburg Fire Department in Austria.

The new horse feat involved him travelling 500m while completely engulfed in flames in Teichalm-Fladnitz, Styria.

Josef was accompanied on the rough journey by a quad-bike rider who topped up the flames with lamp oil as needed.

“It just feels amazing to be a Guinness World Records holder because there are many people in the world, and I did it best," he said.

"That’s pretty cool and amazing.”
