Former Cameroonian star Rigobert Song Bahanag dies

Former Cameroonian star Rigobert Song Bahanag is dead. he passed on yesterday in France where he was flown to for further treatment. Song had been battling for his life after he suffered a stroke. He was even rumoured to have died some days back.

Confirming the news, his brother Alex Song said “Our beloved passed on this morning. At this moment the family is bereaved.”

Rigobert Song who was 40 at the time of his death, played a key role for his country’s team. He was capped about 137 times for his country and also played professionally with Liverpool, Galatasaray, West Ham and others.
