Independence Day Celeb: Nigerian flag abused

As Nigeria celebrate its 56th independence anniversary today being 1st october,2016, Some individuals believed to be members of the indigenous  people of Biafra (IPOB) and other secessionist groups have taken to the streets in demonstration of their anger and disdain towards the President Buhari led government by desecrating and abusing the Nigerian flag in various dimensions as seen in the photos.

The ‘Biafrans’ who have made no secret their intension of breaking away from Nigeria accused president Buhari of tribal bigotry and anti-people policies targeted asgainst southern Nigeria. Here is an excerpt we got from a social media user who shared this below:

Some residents have started burning Nigeria flags on social media this is a crime against the state and a treasonable felony. In so far we may not agree with this government does not warrant such actions”, He said. See photos below……
