Woman dumps day old baby at refuse site
When millions of married couples in the world are looking for a fruit of the womb, what could make someone whom God bless to abandon her day old baby at a refuse site?
According to Dailytrust, A yet-to-be identified woman was said to have dumped her newly born-girl at refuse dump site at Gwagwa, Abuja.
A resident of the area, Musa Aliyu, said the incident might have happened in the early hours of Saturday.
He said one of his neighbours who went to dump refuse at the site in Unguwar Mai Rake saw the infant.
He said the day-old baby was wrapped in a black polythene bag, adding that the woman raised an alarm when she heard the cry of the baby.
“When she heard the baby crying, she moved closer and discovered that it was a baby girl,” he said. “She ran back to inform some neighbours and later went to inform the police."
He said three police personnel, two men and a woman, came and took away the baby to a motherless babies’ home in the area.
