Yaba Tech suspends academic activities indefinitely over fire outbreak

All academic activities at the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, has now been suspended by the management following a fire outbreak at a female hostel this morning.

The college’s spokesperson, Dr. Charles Oni, in a statement released shortly after the incident said, “all examinations and lectures, especially scheduled for today (Wednesday) have been put on hold while the College attends to the exigency.” He added, “The Management regrets the misguided and outright falsehood on the social media and calls to certain radio stations that there was no water on campus to quell the fire.
