Opinion: TENSION IN ASO-ROCK; BETWEEN THE YORUBA AND AND THE HAUSA

Take it from me or get it else where; there is palpable tension in ASO-ROCK!

The reason is not far fetched: the growing concern about the health status of PMB and his capacity to continue after his trip to London is the issue orchestrating fear in the Villa.

For those of you who sheepishly rely on the Nigerian media as basis for forming your opinion on national issues, hear this; you are living outside this country.

Just last week, there was an impromptu meeting of the Northern governors forum in Abuja. After that meeting, there was a call that Osibanjo should resign. The media was well paid to sideline its publication.

However, they didn't say the reason for making such a call at this very time. Be that as it may, the Presidency tried denying it but up until now, the office of the Vice President has not denied it.

early this week, mr speaker had visited vice resident Osibanjo along side the reprobate son of the Igbo who by providence, the governor of Imo state. The reason for their visit remains in the realm of speculation.

again within the week, the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki visited the VP and yesterday, the same visit was made again. Storming out of the meeting, the Senate president stated that, they came in connection to the 2017 budget.

The Vice President appears mute and obviously confused as I was told he takes order from Buhari' Chief of Staff.

Now, it is becoming crystal clear that, there is a growing mutual suspicion between the Yoruba APC leaders and that of the North. Of course the reason is near us: IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO THE FIRST FAMILY (GOD FORBID), OSIBANJO WILL TAKE THE PRIDE OF THE NORTH THE SECOND TIME WITHIN THIS REPUBLIC.

If I erred, may I be forgiven, but I can tell you that I have not. The Vice President is such a spineless, evasive person who has refused to be assertive and agile to woo Nigerians on his side. Hence, the state of confusion in the land is rather heightening because, he has shown no difference from his ineffectual boss.

The Northern politicians have gathered against him and cadged him. This happened to the point that, the 2017 budget already passed by the National Assembly was called up to be reviewed by Dino MElaye of Kogi west.

Even though the outrageous amount of #240, 000,000 earmarked by the VP office for gate construction is an eye-sour, the conspiracy to stampede the man out of office is on course. Kindly treat this view with maturity and never trivialize it.

The question is, how will the Yorubas approach this obvious alienation of their brother from the scheme of things in a government he tops as a hierarchy?

Again, the drafting of Fashola, Fayemi and likes to fight their former boss may not help the west because, their age-long unity is tinkered. From the above point, another question succeeds: does Jagaban still have that relevance that can withstand or compete favorably with Federal might? Time will tell.

HAVE WE REASONED WHY THE NORTH IS NOT COMFORTABLE WITH THE WEST AS IT STANDS NOW? THERE IS WHAT IS CALLED, "DEATH FACTOR" IN POLITICS.

In politics, death is an indispensable factor that can floor all other human equations, calculation, permutations and likes. Note it that, Northerners play politics in an expert way; they achieve this through the lifestyle of coherence, religious bond and respect for constituted authority that favors them.

If they could threaten Tinubu' structure by disorganizing his boys who ordinarily should strengthen his sagacity through their positions, there is every tendency they may come after Akinwumi Ambodo who may wish against all things, to sacrifice loyalty, friendship, structure and including his family to retain his position.

When the above is achieved, the project that targets the deconstruction of Bola Tinubu may have attained its nitty-gritty, its apogee, its zenith and its crescendo and at that juncture, the much anticipated transformed relationship between the North and the West is trapped on its mental portfolio.

NOW, THE IGBO BECOMES THE BEAUTIFUL BRIDE IF REALLY SHE KNOWS. UNFORTUNATELY, AN AVERAGE IGBO THINKS THAT, GOVERNMENT IS AS USELESS AS NIGERIAN CURRENCY THAT HAS LOST ITS REMAINING VALUE.

HE THINKS HE CAN LIGHTEN HIS HOUSE HIMSELF, DIG BORE-HOLE HIMSELF, COPE WITH THE RECESSION AND PAY ANY AMOUNT FOR HIS LUXURY.

IF REALLY IGBOS WERE POLITICAL, THEY WOULD HAVE REMAINED IN OPPOSITION AND EVEN MAKE IT MORE PRONOUNCED AS THAT WILL ATTRACT SERIOUS NEGOTIATION FOR THEM AS 2019 INTRIGUES IS ABOUT PLAYING OUT.
