Babaric Africa! Ghanian Army Officer lynched

A Ghana Armed Forces Captain on detachment duties at Diaso in the Central Region has been lynched by the youth of the town. Sources say he was lynched because he had a gun on him while jogging along the main road where he stopped to ask for further directions from some women. An alarm was raised by the residents, who had witnessed an armed robbery incident the night before and so were on alert for the perpetrators. So, upon receiving information that the soldier, who was dressed in civilian clothes, was carrying a gun, the residents led by the assemblyman organised some youth in the town to beat him to death and burn his mortal remains. The Ghana Armed Forces has since confirmed the incident and says investigations are ongoing. The name of the deceased officer has been given as Maxwell Mahama and a member of the 5th Infantry Battalion.
