Senator Adeola calls for removal of Service Chiefs over Nasarawa killings



Strong condemnations have continued to trail the loss of lives resulting from the attack on Nasarawa state, North Central Nigeria.

Reacting to the issue, Senator Solomon Adeola representing Lagos West Senatorial district called for immediate removal of all Service Chiefs, saying they have failed to proffer solution to incessant insecurity involving loss of hundreds of lives of Nigerians.

Adeola , who spoke during Tuesday plenary, drew the attention of Senators to President Buhari’s comment on insecurity in the country in far away London.
He further explained that the United States in a similar manaer expressed concern on the country’s insecurity.
“Mr. President, distinguished colleagues, President Muhammadu Buhari in far away London expressed concern on insecurity.”
“Just yesterday, the United States government In a similar manner expressed serious concern on the insecurity in Nigeria”
Adeola said Nigeria is practically unsafe, noting that, “The country has been regaled with daily killings.
“I want to commend the leadership of the Senate for the Security Summit it organised recently and the report and recommendations. But so far, the security situation has not improved and what the president needs at this time is fresh ideas on how to tackle numerous security challenges confronting the nation,” the Senator insisted.
He called for fresh ideas as a way of tackling security challenges rather than elongating the tenure of those who have failed the nation.
