A gallant soldier killed by the Boko Haram insurgents in the northeast

Fierce Boko Haram fighters recently killed an influential Nigerian soldier in a surprise attack in the northern part of the country.
The Nigerian army has lost another gallant soldier in the 7-year guerrilla fight against the Boko Haram sect in the north-east part of Nigeria. Major D. S. Erasmus was killed by a group of Boko Haram insurgents after his convoy was ambushed around Kumshe in Borno State.
Kumshe district is a settlement located along the Nigeria-Cameroon border in Bama Local Government Area of Borno – north-eastern part of Nigeria.
